Beckie is a fifth generation Montanan, who grew up in Missoula. She is the youngest of five children. Her dad is the leading factor as to why she went into finance. He worked for the Farmer’s Home Administration for 36 years, part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He gave families home loans and moved onto Municipal loans for the development of water and sewer systems. There were mainly only two dinner topics that her dad talked about—money and the weather.
Beckie launched her career in finance in Minneapolis in 1999. She worked in banking, insurance, and investments. She moved to Osaka, Japan in 2005 where she taught English to Japanese. In 2008, she moved to Nice, France literally via the slow boat to China. She obtained her Master’s of Business Administration from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commercial (EDHEC), an Ivy League French school. In 2010, Beckie settled in Seattle and launched her own financial planning and wealth management practice. She greatly enjoys putting her experience together— to support the advisor in educating, strategizing, planning, and pursuing each individual’s or business’s financial goals. Beckie works happily alongside her life and business partner, Matthew Meyers.
